Today, Friday, October 9th, marks the final opportunity for you to make your donation of $30 or more to our Turkeys Tackling Hunger campaign and receive your FREE ‘I Tackled Hunger’ T-shirt. We will only be ordering those that have been reserved in advance. If you have already donated and reserved your shirt, we ask that you encourage your friends and family to do so as well. Wouldn’t it be great if we were all wearing them the week before Thanksgiving to show how we take action to end hunger in Hays County?
A $30 donation provides one Hays County family with a frozen ham and traditional trimmings that they can then turn into a home-cooked meal for the holidays. Many of these families might be unable to afford a traditional holiday dinner without your help. All donations received will be used to purchase supplies for these holiday meal boxes and to support the ongoing operating expenses of the Hays County Food Bank.
Today also marks the final day to sponsor this campaign at a Gold or Platinum level and have your corporate logo on the back of the ‘I Tackled Hunger’ T-shirt. We will still be accepting sponsors until November 30th; however, those made after today will not have their logo included on the shirt. This is a great opportunity to show how your company supports your community by jumping in on a great cause.
