Philanthropy Day-A Time to Give Thanks to Those Who Support Us

Webster’s Dictionary defines philanthropy as the practice of giving money and time to help make life better for other people.  The Hays County Food Bank (HCFB) depends on this act of goodwill in order to feed the food insecure in this area. This Friday, November 15, is National Philanthropy Day, so we would like to recognize those special people who are making a difference.  Many thanks and blessings to those who have supported and continue to support us throughout the holiday season as well as the rest of the year.  You guys rock!!

We would especially like to give a shout out to the H-E-Bs in San Marcos, Kyle, and Buda for helping to make our mission a reality.  Without all the food items donated each week, we wouldn’t be able to feed as many hungry people.

We would also like to recognize a very special lady who played a key part in successful food distributions to individuals and families.  Eleanor Crook, a world hunger activist and the daughter of Howard Edward Butt (founder of H-E-B), is a major supporter of our mission.

A big thank you to everyone who has donated time, money, and/or food to HCFB this year.  Without you, this wouldn’t be possible!  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
