The Texas State University Student Volunteer Connection celebrated an alternative Halloween on Friday, October 29th by donating their time, going door to door, trick-or-canning for non perishable items. In total the students collected 350 pounds of food, valued at $672! The Student Volunteer Connection is a part of Campus Activities and Student Organizations at Texas State, which provides quality, student-centered programs, services, and involvement opportunities which celebrate diversity, promote retention, and foster leadership, civic engagement and student development. Thank you to all of the residents who donated food, and to the students who volunteered their time.
