H-E-B makes a huge impact year after year!

This week’s spotlight goes to our largest contributor, H-E-B grocery stores. In 2010 H-E-B has donated 296,824 pounds of food, valued at over $500,000, and $3,000 from their “Help End Hunger” campaign! The two local San Marcos H-E-B’s, Kyle H-E-B Plus, and Buda H-E-B all donate bread, meats and produce to Hays County Food Bank every day. H-E-B reaches out to 5,000 organizations during their “Help End Hunger” campaign each year, and we are so thankful to be one of them. Thank you to all the H-E-B’s for providing us with the ability to feed the hungry people of Hays County.

L-R: Eddie Garcia, HEB Food Assistance Program; Ted Gomez, HEB Store Manager; Jerry Gracy, Food Bank Executive Director; Pat Tessaro, Food Bank Community Relations; Danny Flores, HEB Community Relations; and Bruce Schneider, HEB Unit Director.
